1. Heatless Drying with Microfiber Towel
If you are stuck with wet hair during load-shedding use a Microfiber Hair towel to gently dry your hair. Your hair is most fragile when wet, so using a harsh cotton towel can cause a lot of damage and breakage to your hair. A Microfiber Turban gently dries your hair without causing friction and damage. The design of the turban offers comfort and protection to your hair, the Elastic loop keeps it secure so that it won’t fall off.

2. Flexi-Rod Curls
You no longer need a hot curling iron to create luscious bouncy curls. Hot styling tools can cause a lot of damage to your hair, but if you are stuck in the dark due to load shedding… Flexi rods will become your saving grace. Flexi rods are long flexible, foam tube rods with wire on the inside, the wire holds the rod in place while you sleep or wait for your hair to dry. To use Flexi rods you would need to separate your hair into sections, spray a section of your hair damp then comb and wrap your hair around the Flexi rod, twisting the Flexi rod up towards your head and bending the Flexi rod closed into a “C” shape. Once you have twisted all of your hair,
secure the rods by wearing a satin bonnet.

3. Hair Wrapping
Wrapping your hair at night is a girl’s best-kept secret to having smooth, sleek and manageable hair in the morning. If you want to protect and prolong your blowout, then wrapping your hair at night with a sleeker is a must. Don’t risk waking up in the morning to load-shedding with messy bed hair and unable to do a quick touch up with your flat iron. Wrap it up and wake up with silky smooth ready to go hair.

Follow these instructions on how to wrap your hair. (blow dried hair)
- Part your hair into sections (depending on the thickness of your hair)
- Comb the first section on the bottom left side of your head, comb from root to tip. Be sure to remove all tangles, you want your hair as straight and smooth as possible before wrapping. Wrap the first section in a circular motion around your head.
- Continue to comb the remaining sections individually. Comb and wrap each section in a circular motion, layer by layer until all your hair is wrapped.
- Place the sleeker on top of your head by gently placing it in a circular motion towards the direction that your hair is wrapped.
4. Sleeping on Satin
If you are not keen on wrapping your hair at night then sleeping on a satin pillow will definitely be your lifesaver, especially if you want to maintain your blowout. Sleeping on satin helps reduce friction and damage which is commonly caused by sleeping on cotton pillows. Cotton pillows tend to draw the moisture from your hair, leaving it dry, brittle, frizzy with creases and split-ends. Sleeping on satin, however, locks the moisture within your hair, with less friction your hair glides on the pillow and you wake up to soft silky smooth frizz-free hair.

5. Sleeping with a Satin Bonnet
Satin Bonnets are essential for protecting your hair at night. Satin Bonnets are perfect for preserving natural hair and protecting curls made with a curling iron or flexi rod. The satin lining on the inside of the cap helps to reduce friction and damage on your hair while you are sleeping. If you apply products to your hair such as hair oils, coconut oil and serums before going to bed at night, your satin bonnet will prevent the oils from ruining your pillow/sheets..which is also a bonus for your skin.
